You can only trade your Samsung, Apple, LG, Google and Motorola brand phone. There are huge list of the phone model that you might be eligible, especially if you have Samsung phone than they are offering trade in option for the oldest phone is Galaxy Note 5 and above.
The highest trade in value of $550 will only go with the Galaxy Note 8, S9, S9 Plus and Note 9. By the way, this is just for the Samsung’s model. They do offer $550 for other brand latest devices as well. So, how can you get that big money for your phone.
- First, you must have a latest phone that was listed on the website.
- Second, they will ask certain questions to see whether your device works properly or not
You would need to answer 3 questions to get that trade in value:
- Does the device turn on? (The device must start up to the home screen and function normally.
- Will you factory reset your device before you ship it? (You must factory reset all personal data from your device and to disable any software locks.
- Is your device free of cracks? (The device’s screen and the camera lens should not show any cracks)
So if you meet all of the above required conditions than you are eligible for the trade in amount. As we know the first two bullets, we will select YES. What if we select NO on the third bullet option? We went and select NO and this is what we got.
We chose Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and before choosing an answer the Trade-in Discount was showing $550. We tried all Yes and No option. However, first we tried the third bullet options and all the sudden the trade in discount amount went down to $100. Therefore, it is very important that you must not have a cracked screen and camera lens. We have also tried “NO” answers on the first two bullets and it says “Not Eligible for Trade-In. No matter you say NO for either first or second bullet, you won’t be eligible for any trade-in value.
Now time to check for Apple devices. The oldest model they are offering for iphone 5S and iphone SE for $50. Are you kidding? Why there is still value for iphone 5s and not galaxy s5? Anyway Apple always have a high resell price on their devices.
The highest value for the Apple models are iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XR. All of these models will get $550 trade-in value. When you select NO on the third bullet question on “Is your device free of cracks?” you will still get $250 on iphone. That’s not bad still.
Here comes LG, only five models of LG phones are eligible for this offer. The oldest device is LG G5 @ $150. However, LG V20 and V30 are also valued for $150. LG V40, the latest model which is eligible at $550.
