Nawayug Shrestha, Gem of Nepal. Keep him Safe !
Sometime I ask myself, Why I was born in Nepal? But I feel proud sometime. When my country, Nepal, gets better or win on something than I feel proud to be Nepali. Wait – I ask question myself, Is that fair? When my country win, I feel proud and when my country gets bad, I feel guilty of being Nepali. Why is that? Why ever people in this world become selfish? I always worry about my country, even though I live far from it. Every people from abroad worry about their country. However, we just speak about the bad things and cannot do any sacrifice to our country. One more question again – Is it fair? or Is it selfish?
Off course, everyone is looking for their secure future and people struggle abroad to get their desired life. Why can’t we struggle in our own land? Why can’t we build our own nation? I wanted to do it? People in Nepal are doing it, than Why can’t we? I had no choice at that time, when my whole family moved to another country. I did not want to leave my country, however I was not able to stop them and had to choose their path as my future path. I am not trying to talk about me or my family in this article. I am talking about the successful person or team who really made whole nation proud. Everyone feel proud to be Nepali, because of our team or specific person.
Now everyone knows that what I am trying to say in this article. Yes, we are proud of you (Nawayug Shrestha). From now everyone knows that who is this person. This person made proud to all Nepalese living around the world. After 23 years, Nawayug and his team made Nepali football into Next Level. We’ve just heard his name after the Bangabandhu 2016 Gold Cup Match, where he scored his first goal with hat-trick. He became a fifth player of Nepal to score hat-trick in an international football match. Even with Bhutan and Maldives in SAG 2016, he scored hat-trick. I think by now, we can say that he is a talented footballer of Nepal. Isn’t that make us proud? After 23 years, that is so long period of time. I wish we had Nawayug Shrestha during that period of time.
Yesterday, I tried to google Nawayug Shrestha and in the right hand side I saw his short biography link of wikipedia. I know wikipedia is an open source, however the link that google display on the right hand side is only for popular search link or verified search page from different sources. It was not so long that Nawayug became popular, but he is able to get that google’s right side place. When I saw the date of published about Nawayug in wikipedia, it was February 16, 2016. Than I realized that I was the first one to see that.
If some people do not know about him, I will share his some information that is written in wikipedia. Nawayug Shrestha was born in January 26, 1990 in Illam, Nepal. His playing position in football is striker and he is 5 feet 7 inches (1.70m). Currently he is a team member of Nepal Army Club in Number 18.
When I read many websites, where there was an issue and questions why it took 23 years for Nepali Football to win the match? Many of the articles were explaining about the Match fixing issues, corruption in Politics and many other political and organization’s issue. I do not know what happened or what is going to happen next. But I know that someday Nepal will be developed and less corrupted country with youth people who wants to show this world that they are pride and achiever person to make their country proud. I wish Nawayug Shrestha and other Nepali Football team with more successful career in near future and hope other game will also move to next level.
At last, I would like to say that, this is just a beginning. You will definitely see changes everyday. Never lose hopes, never give up in your life, try hard until you gets succeed.
