People who are Still Surviving

I don’t want to remember, it’s almost ten months still cannot forget. Sometimes I feel that why this happened to innocent people. I am not in Nepal, however the culture, love and the life I grew up over there always make me to think about my country, Nepal. Ten months have been passed of being on the tremor, still no changes can be found in some areas. I can feel Japan, when they get earthquake, however their technology and the way their politician works that make them strong all the time. Currently, in Nepal there is a political crisis. We do have president, prime minister, vice-prime minister and many other minister, however there is still lack of politician who really love Nepal.

Ten months! isn’t it enough time to get started of at least doing something? Everyday I listened at least one news about earthquake victims. If any victims got relief package, that is either from organizations or at personal level. Why government is backed up themselves? I feel I am living in heaven comparing to those victim, that’s what make me sad. I have ideas, energy and friends to fix many things in Nepal, however lack of money made me to sit on the back.
There is a television program called “Sajha Sawal”, I guess everyone knows about it or many people watch each and every episode of it. This program broadcast from Kantipur Television sponsored by BBC and it comes every Sunday. Last week’s Sajha Sawal as “Bacheka Manchhe” (People who lived), this episode was really heart touching and tremendously work done by BBC team as a Sajha Sawal Program. I appreciate them for showing this video, putting effort to go there and live there for a week to know and experience about their life. Hats off to Bidhya Chapagain, who contributed herself to show this situation of earthquake victim all around the world.
Kafle Danda is located in Shellang, it’s about three and half hours of walk from Chautara in Sindhupalchowk. People displaced from Paridanda by the earthquake live in Kafledanda. Sobel Brother and Somrani Sister’s family, who have three sons and a little daughter, where bidhya spent few days with them. This episode will definitely make everyone cry, so please watch at least once. I will include link in below. People from Kafledanda is still waiting for someone to bring them relief package where they can sleep in warm in this cold winter. Ten months!, no one went there, but Bidhya Chapagain, Minister Agni Sapkota and Actor Rajesh Hamal, where Bidhya invited them so that they can experience how they are living.

Last two weeks in the United States, mega jackpot was drawn called “Powerball”, which was worth of $1.6 billion. I bought more than $50 ticket hoping to win this jackpot. However, I was not lucky to win the jackpot, nor I was upset of not winning. When I saw last week’sl Sajha Sawal episode, than I remember and then felt upset of not winning the jackpot. Why in this world, people do not get what they want? that’s why we say life is struggle.

Every night, I am always thinking to save and earn more money to help those people who have been survived from big devastation, but dieing because of not getting proper shelter and relief. Why didn’t I win that jackpot, which would have make their life better like ours? All of us who were not affected by earthquake or didn’t lose anything, they are in heaven. People in Kafledanda are spending their life like hell. Since, there is no hope from government to make them better shelter. I wish to god, please help them so that they can stay warm during this cold season and wish government can do something as soon as possible to save their life.
