Why we have Daylight Savings Time?
Many people are unaware or might not know about the Daylight Savings. People just change their time, however they have no clue why they need to change the time. Every year we change our time twice. Once in Summer and Winter, in Spring we set our time ahead and in fall we set our time backward. CNN’s Jennifer Gray explains why we change our clocks twice a year for Daylight Saving Time?
To reduce electricity consumption by extending daylight hours. In US, we change our clocks at 2 A.M. on the second Sunday in March, that begins Daylight Savings time that’s we spring ahead. On the first Sunday in November, we change our clock at 2 A.M. again, that’s actually just going back to standard time. This idea came from Benjamin Franklin.
